I am a psychotherapist in Herndon, Virginia. I have been practicing therapy for over 20 years and find that the more I grow as a therapist the more I enjoy my work and help to create positive results with my clients.
I work primarily with women, adolescents and adoptive families who are struggling with depression, anxiety and low self-esteem. Please see my website for a list of specialties and services that I provide:
I received my Master’s in Social Work degree from The Catholic University of America in 1991 and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Brandeis University in 1987.
I worked for Prince William County for 14 years with foster children, high risk adolescents, in the schools, with substance abusing populations and doing group and family therapy. I was employed with The Child and Family Counseling Group from 2005-2012 working with adults, adolescents, families and couples. My practice, Laurie Levine LCSW LLC, opened in May 2012.
Outside of the office, I am active with my family and in the community. I find that my life experiences, both rewarding and challenging, help me to be compassionate and understanding when working with my clients whose life experiences often mirror my own.
